This isn't the average pop-star Christmas song. This song was written and performed by a songwriter and choir brought together by the help they received through charities for people at risk of homelessness, or that are homeless. Particularly through the Mentoring scheme offered to volunteers at Crisis Skylight Newcastle.
This single has been released in order to raise money for these charities, to help them carry on providing such important services. There have been several philanthropic Christmas singles in the past, but rarely do they feature the kinds of people that will benefit from the money, and we want to change that.
